In Edinburgh, fireworks were thrown at officers in the Oxgangs area. Officers were not injured during the incident.
There was a large police presence in the area, as trouble involving groups of young people was reported.

Police Scotland said they received reports of youths "creating a blockage in the road" on Oxgangs Road North, Edinburgh at about 17:30.

A wall of CCTV cameras trained across Edinburgh and Glasgow flickered from empty streets to a packed Celtic stadium as officers watch for signs of disorder.
The atmosphere in the room was calm despite pockets of disorder - things seemed generally under control.
Information flashed up on screens with updates from Operation Moonbeam. As the evening progressed the screens filled up as public order units were deployed to more and more places.
Teams from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service, the Scottish government and Edinburgh city council were in attendance.
Officers from as far afield as Avon and Somerset, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and South Wales were ready to be deployed.
With the additional police in place, Ch Sup David Robertson of Police Scotland said the force was prepared.
"Tonight is about capitalising on the additional capability and capacity we've got deployed tonight," he told officers at a Fettes police station briefing.
"We need to respond effectively and we need to make our presence felt when it's required."
Chief Constable Jo Farrell issued a warning to anyone who may get caught up in disorder.
She said: "You'll face the full impact of the law, you'll be arrested and you'll face the consequences.
"I have no tolerance for that level of violence on the streets of Scotland."
She added: "I know that the planning and the work that has gone into tonight is as good as we have ever done and so we have given ourself the best, best foundation on which to ensure people can enjoy Bonfire Night."
