A man has been released on bail after a woman was allegedly pushed into the path of a bus in south-west London nine years ago.
CCTV footage appeared to show a jogger running along Putney Bridge and shoving the woman into the road in May 2017. The bus swerved to avoid her, meaning she was not seriously injured.
On Monday, the Metropolitan Police said officers had arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm, however he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
The forced previously closed its investigation after three men were arrested and later released without charge.
The footage of the incident shows a bus being forced to swerve into the adjacent lane to avoid hitting the woman.
Sgt Mat Knowles said at the time: "It was only due to the superb quick reactions of the bus driver that she was not hit by the vehicle."
Detectives identified more than 50 people of interest before closing the investigation in 2018, saying that all lines of inquiry had been exhausted.
