England are into the last 16 of the World Cup 2026, having beaten the Democratic Republic of Congo in a 2-1.

Thomas Tuchel's side got off to a bad start, with DR Congo scoring within the first 10 minutes of the game in Atlanta, Georgia.

Struggling until after the 70th minute mark, captain Harry Kane came to his team's rescue - scoring two goals in the final stages, avoiding a major upset, and securing England's place in the last 16.
